Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

Lynx Launch ("we", "us") provides a done-for-you Google review request service for local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who this policy covers

  • Website visitors and people who book a call with us.
  • Our clients, the businesses that use our service.
  • Our clients' customers, the people who receive a review request text from us on behalf of a business they hired.

Information we collect

  • When you book a call: your name, business name, phone number, email, industry, town, approximate customer volume, any notes you add, and the time you chose.
  • From clients: business contact details, billing information, the client's Google review link, and photos the client provides for their thank-you sign.
  • About clients' customers (provided by the client): first name, mobile phone number and the date of service, plus records of when we sent a message and whether the person opted out.
  • Website data: our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To schedule and hold calls you book with us.
  • To provide our service, including sending one review request text per customer on a client's behalf.
  • To process opt-outs and keep a do-not-text list.
  • To bill clients and keep business records.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile phone numbers, or anyone's consent to receive texts, with third parties for their own marketing.

Text messages we send

We send review request texts on behalf of a named business to people who have been that business's customers within the past two years. Each message:

  • names the business it's sent for and gives a way to contact them,
  • includes a link to that business's Google review page, and
  • includes "Reply STOP to opt out".

Message frequency: generally one message per completed service. Message and data rates may apply. If you reply STOP, you won't receive further messages from us. We keep your number on a do-not-text list that applies across all of our clients, so you stay opted out. For help, email hello@lynxlaunch.com.

We ask every customer on a client's list. We do not screen out customers based on whether they were happy, and we do not offer incentives for reviews.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run our business, such as an SMS and MMS delivery provider (for example, Twilio), cloud spreadsheet and storage tools, workflow automation software, an image tool that adds a customer's first name to a sign photo, an online form provider for call bookings, and a payment processor. They may only use personal information to provide their services to us.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

How long we keep it

  • Call bookings: as long as needed to follow up with you, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Clients' customer lists: only while the client uses our service. We delete them within 30 days after a free trial ends without continuing or after a client cancels.
  • Opt-out records: we keep the phone number and opt-out date for as long as we operate, so we can keep honouring the opt-out.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires.

How we protect it

We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to provide the service. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to how sensitive the information is.

Clients' responsibilities

Clients confirm that every person on a list they give us was their customer within the past two years and that they are allowed to share that information with us for this purpose.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (for example, by replying STOP to a text). To make a request, email hello@lynxlaunch.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
